I sat on my knees for a while with my eyes closed. My hand gently stroked the white rabbit pelt that I had draped across my lap. The fur was so smooth like silk; the softest fur I had ever touched. It felt alive! I could sense the rabbit’s timid twitches and I could see visions of him running. I spoke softly to him and thanked him, then laid him on the altar with sigil side up. I dropped the tip of a spoon full of red pigment into the gum mixture and swirled it into a blend. With the lights dimmed and candle lit I dipped a finger into the paint and rubbed red into the center of the sigil. I gave blood, life and voice to the rabbit of the pelt.
